April 30, 2017 06:56 PM

Today’s photo is from Pauline Zerby. It features the 1956 May Queen Pageant at East Penns Valley High School in Millheim. According to Zerby, this was the last year the high school was open and the last year the annual May Day pageant was held.

The prime minster, center, was Patrick Malone, and the May queen was Dorothy Thompson.

Pictured on the court, from left, is: Betty Gill, Shirley Dinges, Mary Breon, Joyce McCool, Shelvia Musser, Sandra Shriver and Doris Keen.

Trumpeters were Andrea Glasgow, at left, and Lee Wolfe.
